Gayle won the Orange Cap during the 4th season of IPL as he was the highest run scorer of the edition. He scored a total of 608 runs from 12 matches which helped him win the award.
Gayle became the first player in the history of tournaments to earn the Orange Cap back-to-back for two years for his team “ Royal Challengers Bangalore. Gayle scored 733 runs in that season and was his highest score so far in any season of IPL.
It is no doubt that MS Dhoni has brilliantly led his team “ Chennai Super Kings over the years and they have even produced many gems and Michael Hussey took the spotlight during the 2013 edition of the game.
Hussey scored 733 runs from 17 matches at an average of 52.35 including six half-centuries at a strike-rate of 129.50.
With an ample amount of experience on his side, Robin shouldered the responsibility at the top of the batting order. He scored 660 runs from 16 games with five half-centuries at an average of 44. The right-handed batsman scored runs almost in all the matches giving them their second IPL title after 2012.
Undoubtedly, David Warner is a huge name in the field of cricket. The Australian batsman was at his best in the in the 2015 edition of IPL. He scored 562 runs from 14 games with seven fifties in that season. He took batting to an all new level in the season of IPL.
With 973 runs from 16 matches including 4 enormous centuries and 7 fifties, the world cricket saw the legend of the current generation grace the fans with some amazing hits. It was Virat Kohli who practically broke all the possible records from the prior season to gather a record-breaking 973 runs.

He showed some classical display of batting mainly focusing on ones and twos but also maintained a good strike-rate throughout the season.
After serving a one year ban, Warner came back to cricket with all the guns blazing. He smacked completely everything available to him and forged a breathtaking association with Jonny Bairstow at the head of the order.
Before leaving India to perform his national duties, the Australian batsman scored 692 runs from 12 matches including eight half centuries and 100. The southpaw was consistent during his stay and showcased his capabilities to the world.
Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the IPL was played in the UAE and in the 13th IPL season KL Rahul managed to bag the Orange Cap at last. The Kings XI Punjab skipper managed to score 670 runs in 14 innings.
KL Rahul finished the tournament as the Highest scorer.
The youngest ever batsmen to earn an Orange Cap. He was the top run-getter of the season. He managed to score 635 runs in 16 innings.
He managed to flush out 64 Fours which is the most fours of the whole season compared to any other batsman. He also managed to smoke 23 sixes which is joint second most to KL Rahul's 30 sixes.
